Perhaps it’s a disservice to the actual scene to describe it like this but genuinely it is just hongo being like “I do not want to die in the same way my father did” and he does just like. Do a flip. And the flip is unrelated to his father being dead but it definitely happens right as that statement is made

The only places that still have mask mandates are medical centres, and its just not enough.
Plus a bunch of them don’t enforce it. One doctor’s I went to had free masks if people hadn’t bought theirs and it was wild watching people try to wheedle their way out of putting one on.
